Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness Essay Contest
Introduction
Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness is a grassroots organization dedicated to raising the level of awareness of nuclear technology initiatives. Our 2500 membership of CNTA is dedicated to implementing programs for the understanding and advancement of nuclear technology. The CNTA Essay Contest is designed by members of the organization to promote a better understanding of nuclear technology among high school students. It also provides an incentive for the development of communication skills that are vital to those entering the workforce and American business.
Contest
The contest is open to high school juniors and seniors in Aiken, Richmond, and Columbia Counties. Family of CNTA members are eligible regardless of their school's location.
Essays should be 1000 - 1500 words in length and should address one of the following topics:
The effort will involve researching a topic and preparing an essay on the subject. CNTA has books and other reference materials that may be of help to student applicants.
The competition will be judged by the Citizens for Nuclear Technology Awareness staff and representatives from the general membership.
