1204 Whiskey Rd, Suite B 2008 CNTA Golf Tournament |
The CNTA hosted its 6th Annual Gold Tournament on May 9, 2008 at Houndslake C.C. in Aiken. We had great participation again this year with 29 teams (116 people), raising more than $10,000 for the CNTA. We want to thank the many sponsors, volunteers, and players that make this event so successful year after year.
We had many outstanding prizes again this year. The grand prize, of a week at Pinehurst NC, was won by Joe Spencer.
Next year's event is already scheduled for May 8, 2009 at Houndslake C.C. So please mark your calendar! This is not only a fun event, but it is the largest fund-raising event of the year for the CNTA.

The V3 Technical team took home the first place prize with a score of 54.0. The team included (left to right) Randy Yonce, Tina Martin, James Hendrix, and Ron Schroder. Winners received a trophy and a nice bottle of wine, courtesy of Wine World. |
A very close second place went to the Unitech, Inc. team with a score of 54.8. Representing Unitech were (ignoring Tournament Chair Ron Schroder in the middle): John Boziello, David Welcher, Jeff Hayes, and Henry Pruett. The team received gift certificates from Houndslake Country Club. |

The dubious last place award went to the team consisting of Ron Kuhn, Brent Craft, Al Cross, and Sonny Walker, with a score of 65.1. The team proved to be extremely good sports during the awards ceremony, and were awarded lessons from the Houndslake Country Club pro. |
Craig McMullin of B&W Technical Group; Karen Bonavita, CNTA Office Manager; Ron Schroder, Chair of the tournament; and Clint Wolfe, Executive Director of CNTA, hold the presentation check in the amount of $10,000 to help support CNTA activities. (Karen isn't really that short; the guys are quite tall.) |
