Dr. Ramon E. Figueroa is a Professor of Radiology and the chief of the Neuroradiology Service at the Medical College of Georgia, providing subspecialized radiology services to detect and characterize problems of the brain, spinal cord, skull base, face, and spinal column.
He is certified by the American Board of Radiology with subspecialty added qualifications certificate in Neuroradiology, and was elected Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 2001. Dr. Figueroa is involved in the training of medical students at the Medical College of Georgia, as well as in training of radiology residents and neuroradiology fellows. He is the Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology and the Neuroradiology training programs. He is very active as an international speaker in his field, and has been selected several times as Teacher of the Year by his trainees.
